I have been a purveyor of words
and music for as long as I can
remember.  Making up songs and
playing with words in my head my
whole life.  I spent long hours
putting on shows for rows of
stuffed toys in my childhood home
in Brooklyn, NY, using towels and
other household items as props
and costumes.  With a little help
from my dad, Peter, I learned to
play the guitar and my mother,
Helen, sang to me, teaching me to
love the music of her time.  We grew up listening to everything from Perry Como to
Chicago to The Three Degrees and Dinah Washington.  To that I added Led Zeppelin
and Pink Floyd, Gary Numan and Donna Summer.  Quite a show. . .

I sang jazz for about 10 years in and around Staten Island, NY with my cousin, the
very talented pianist, Dan Bremer.  When I moved to Florida in 1995, I never found
the same kind of musical connection like I had with Dan with any other musician, and
the making of music faded from my life for several years.  In that time I discovered
that the rest of the World made music, incredible music the likes of which I had never
heard before.  I began learning the Native American flute, picked up the guitar again
and, with the assistance of my husband, Barry Skeete, I learned to play the djembe.
Enough to say that my passion returned and with it, the desire and NEED to make
music - original music - and this time to share it with everyone.  And so the CD
"Because I Have a Song" has become my current focus.  Because I do have a song.
. .really!  And I want to share it with you.

And now. . . (drum roll please!) the vision has become a reality with Red-tailed
Music.  Musicians from all over the world come together to share their music and
their dreams in festival, spiritual and celebratory settings.  More to come soon!
